Position Profile:
Cary Medical Center, a dynamic 65-bed acute care hospital in pristine northern Maine, offers a relaxed, highly professional learning environment, where surgical suites have state of the art anesthesia equipment, and CRNAs are encouraged to practice as active independent members of the Anesthesia team.
Cary combines a personal, family approach to care with some of the most advanced medical technology available today. Cases include: limited Thoracic, Orthopedics (including joint replacements), ENT, Urology, General Surgery, and OB.
v Call is one in five
v Average call back is 1 to 2 times per week
v CRNAs are required to be certified in BLS and ACLS, with AANA certification and Maine license

v 5 ORs, 4 of which are used routinely
v Head/heart cases are not performed
v Average number of cases per month is 210 with about 15 births per month
v Minimal trauma
v Hours are typically 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

Compensation/Benefits:
The full-time CRNA position offers an annual salary beginning at $150,000 plus, depending on experience, and an additional $15,000 to $20,000 in call pay; CEU dollars up to $2,500/year; AANA annual dues, and relocation assistance up to $3,000.

Cary Medical Center is a 65 bed-acute care hospital located in Caribou, Maine. The hospital has a 9-bed intermediate care facility for mentally challenged adults in Van Buren, Maine, where the hospital also maintains a regional health center. Cary is the site of the Northern Maine Veterans Home and a Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic.
Cary has an active medical staff of over 35, full-time physicians with specialties including: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Anesthesiology, Pathology, Radiology, and Emergency Medicine. The hospital is a regional referral center for various surgical specialties including: Orthopedic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Urology. The Medical Center is currently recruiting for a Vascular Surgeon.
The hospital offers numerous outpatient specialties including an Oncology Service, Wound/Ostomy and Continence Clinic, Memory Clinic, and Pain Management Service.
Cary features the Center for Women and Children's Health, the most comprehensive pediatric and OB/GYN program in northern Maine. The hospital is a leader in health education and promotion and features a Nationally Accredited Diabetes Education Program and Mammography Service.
Cary combines a personal, family approach to care with some of the most advanced medical technology available today including fixed base Phillips Brillance 64 slice CT, Diamond Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, fixed base Phillips Achieva XR 1.5T MRI, and Bone Densitometry.
Cary features all private patient rooms, a family centered maternity program, a one-day-surgery unit, and a newly renovated emergency department. The hospital provides the largest outpatient rehabilitation service in northern Maine including a multi-stage cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program.
