At Cary Medical Center, we understand that the rising cost of healthcare is a serious concern for many patients and their families. Even fully insured patients can have a difficult time paying for deductibles and co-pays. In a report released by Price Waterhouse Coopers in 2006, research indicated that over that past three years, healthcare costs were fueled by a 43% increase in the use of services due to an aging population, unhealthy lifestyles, and consumer demand for new, more intensive medical treatments (Factors Fueling the Rising Cost of Healthcare, 2006). Additional factors affecting the cost of healthcare included the increased cost of labor and higher priced technologies.
While we cannot change the increased demands for healthcare, the price of technology, or the ages of our patients, we guarantee that we are looking at every way possible to better manage our operational expenses.
Our patient billing team includes financial counselors and billing specialists who are committed to researching every option to help you meet the financial piece of your healthcare. They can assist you in navigating what can be a confusing and complex system of billing, medical reimbursement, and health insurance programs. At every step of the way, our patient billing team is available to ease the anxiety and stress related to the cost of healthcare services.

Cary Medical Center's patient billing department is open Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Services provided
Our experienced patient billing team can answer any questions or concerns you have about the cost of care you received as a patient at Cary Medical Center, as well as help you identify resources to help pay your medical bill. This can include setting up one of a variety of flexible payment plans or helping you apply for state and federal programs that cover medical expenses for those who qualify. You can meet with one of our financial specialists before, during, or after your visit to the hospital. Additionally, our Customer Service Manager would be happy to provide you with general cost estimates for healthcare services provided at Cary Medical Center.

Location
Our patient billing department is located on the basement level of Cary Medical Center in the Administrative Offices wing. Our cashier and Customer Service Manager are located in the main hallway of the hospital near the customer service desk in the main lobby. If you need assistance or are unfamiliar with our facility, our customer service volunteers would be happy to escort you to the department.
