Otolaryngology is the branch of medicine that includes diagnosis and treatment of disorders involving the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.  Otolaryngologists are medical doctors who specialize in otolaryngology and have at least five years of surgical residency training.  Conditions commonly treated by otolaryngologists include, allergies, tonsillitis, hearing loss, cancers of the head and neck, snoring, sinusitis, and laryngitis.
