Pines Health Services providers are members of Cary Medical Center's active medical staff. Staffs from both organizations work closely together to provide seamless patient care and wellness services.
Pines Health Services has recently been designated as a Federally Qualified Rural Health Center, ‘Look Alike’. This designation allows Pines to provide enhanced primary care services to the medically underserved in Aroostook County. Federally Qualified Rural Health Centers represent a ‘safety net’ in areas where there is a substantial part of the population that live at income levels that make it difficult for them to access primary care. All of Pines health care facilities, located in Caribou, Presque Isle, Limestone, and Van Buren, are qualified under this program. By being qualified for this program, Pines is now able to offer access to primary care services based on individual incomes and sliding fee scales. This designation will be a great benefit to patients and their families throughout our region. More information on the many benefits of this new program will be released shortly.
