This conference is a tribute to Cesar Siruno, M.D., a General Surgeon who served Cary Medical Center and our patients here in Northern Maine for over twenty years.  Sadly Dr. Siruno suffered a major Stroke in 2008 and subsequently was diagnosed with a Cancerous Pancose Tumor and passed away on January 1, 2009. A highly respected and skilled surgeon and much beloved physician, Dr. Siruno was a superb athlete excelling in tennis and golf.  He loved to sing and possessed a broad smile a hearty laugh and a dynamic engaging personality.  He strongly supported patient and professional education as well as overall health promotion.  Dr. Siruno’s Family created the Siruno Stroke Education Center in tribute to this outstanding individual.   The Center will sponsor an Annual Stroke Prevention Conference and will conduct routine patient and general public education programs throughout the year.  For more information on the Siruno Stroke Education Center please visit SirunoStrokeCenter.org.  Thank you.
