Cary to Host ACS CAN Lights of Hope Display

On September 18, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will host its 11th annual Lights of Hope event. This year will be truly special as we celebrate ACS CAN’s 20th anniversary. Lights of Hope bags dedicated to loved ones who have been touched by cancer will be displayed in communities from coast to coast. Please join Cary Medical Center in bringing Lights of Hope to Aroostook County!
We will be hosting a luminary display on our campus to honor this nation-wide event and invite you to join us! Drive by to visit our display on September 18 and/or host your own display at your home or business. Help us light up Aroostook County with HOPE! We plan to have all of our Lights of Hope lining the driveway up to the hospital from the rotary on Van Buren Road in Caribou. They will be set up at 2PM and illuminated after dusk, so feel free to drive through or pull over to the side and walk through any time. Also, don’t miss the national live stream Lights of Hope Across America event at 4PM on 9/18. It will be broadcast through Facebook LIVE and you can find out more (and be reminded) by responding to the Facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/152574970283531 or by visiting https://www.fightcancer.org/lights-hope.
You can also sponsor luminaries that will be displayed on our campus on event day by donating at http://action.fightcancer.org/goto/AroostookME and providing us with your special message to be added to the luminary bag! For a minimum of a $10 donation you can dedicate a Light of Hope in honor of a loved one and help us send a visible reminder to Congress that they need to make fighting cancer a legislative priority.
