Jennifer Beaupre was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 50. She had some abdominal symptoms that she believed were all stress related from life events- she had changed jobs, her mother-in-law becoming ill and died, and other life events occurred so she wrote it off to stress. After a few months the abdominal pain became unbearable and she finally sought her MD’s advice. She was shocked to find that she had stage 4 colorectal cancer since it did not run in her family. After having her cancerous tumor removed, she endured radiation and chemotherapy. She is now awaiting her scans to see that she is in remission.
