RT Lead – Internal Applicants – Imaging (Anticipated Opening)

Job Summary: Job duties include, but are not limited to, the job requirements of a technologist.  Additionally, the Lead is responsible for oversight of general clinical operations of the department and providing clinical guidance to employees within the department.

Job Requirements:

  1. Performs as a Radiologic Technologist-see job description 35-000-008
  2. Reviews schedule within the Department of Radiology to insure appropriate staffing levels and coordinates staff assignments
  3. Oversight of inventory (medical supplies and other supplies) and expiration dates
  4. Participates in quality management including acquisition of data
  5. Oversees collection of daily stats
  6. Facilitates service calls on diagnostic equipment and communicates service equipment issues with Primary Charge of Radiology
  7. Provides clinical guidance to Radiology staff and insures staff accountability
  8. Brings concerns with image quality to the attention of the Primary Charge of Radiology
  9. Participates in purchasing discussions with the Primary Charge of Radiology
  10. Bring issues and potential solutions to the attention of the Primary Charge of Radiology
  11. Handles patient and staff complaints and involves the Primary Charge of Radiology and/or the Chief Operating Officer appropriately
  12. Demonstrates an awareness of billing policies and procedures
  13. Demonstrates outstanding professional behavior and ensures the same of all Radiology staff
  14. In the absence of the Primary Charge of Radiology participates in operational decisions as necessary, with the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and/or the Medical Director of Radiology
  15. Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  16. Makes rounds between all Radiology areas to ensure optimal work flow
  17. Coordinates staff lunches, as necessary
  18. Facilitates scheduling of add on patient exams in the Department of Radiology with the staff within the modality and the front office scheduler
  19. Functions as a liaison between patients, referring providers and the radiologists

Education, Skills, Experience Requirements:

State of Maine License

ARRT Certification

CPR Certification
