Endowment Fund
The endowment fund is a permanent fund that generates interest-only revenue to support the expansion of services, purchase new technology, and fund special projects at Cary Medical Center.

Scholarships
The Foundation manages several scholarships which are established by individuals or families in memory of a loved one. Typically these scholarships are awarded to individuals who are either currently working in or pursuing a degree in the healthcare profession.  The scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and recipients are selected by family representatives.

Jefferson Cary Cancer Center
The Jefferson Cary Cancer Center has provided patients with cancer the ability to receive state-of-the-art treatment while staying close to home. Donations to this fund allow the staff to update equipment and maintain professional education to benefit their patients.

Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation helps patients with heart or lung disease improve the quality of their lives. Contributions to this fund are used to purchase high quality exercise equipment and funding for educational programs.

Stroke Rehabilitation
A stroke can have a life-changing impact on patients and their families. Donations designated to this fund will be used to purchase adaptive equipment for stroke patients and community education regarding stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation options.

Intensive Care Unit
The intensive care unit provides technologically advanced care to critically ill or injured patients at Cary Medical Center. This level of care utilizes extensive medical monitoring equipment. Contributions to the ICU help to provide equipment upgrades and the purchases of new technologies.

The Hayward Suite
The Hayward Suite, named after Dr. Mead Hayward who provided pediatric care to Cary Medical Center for over 30 years, provides a comfortable, home-like area in the hospital for family members of inpatients. Donations are used to purchase new furniture and supplies for the suite.

Brian’s Ride Fund
The Brian’s Ride Fund was established in memory of Brian Caldwell who was a patient at the Jefferson Cary Cancer Center.  The family realized the financial burden associated with undergoing cancer treatments and wanted the patients of Pines Health Services, Cary Medical Center, and the Jefferson Cary Cancer Center to have help with expenses incurred during their treatment.
