The award signifies that Cary Medical Center is in the top 17% of 2,778 U.S. hospitals offering obstetrics. Additionally, Cary was also recognized for our safe surgery practices and lower rates for complications and infections and was also named America’s Best Hospitals for patient safety, making Cary in the top 8% of 4,797 U.S. hospitals for patient safety.
The methodology for the America’s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics and Patient Safety is unique in that it combines national accreditations, Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results and hospital outcome scores with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences. It is the only award recognizing excellence in patient safety and obstetric services based on robust criteria that consider patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.
