Cary Medical Center has joined other area hospitals and healthcare organizations to create a donation-friendly community through the Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign for organ donation. This national initiative sponsored by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services challenges healthcare organizations to educate employees, patients, visitors, and the community about the crucial need for organ, eye, and tissue donation and give them opportunities to sign up as donors. More than 552,000 people have added their names to state registries through this campaign.
We need your involvement and support to reach our goal of registering FIFTY new organ, eye, and tissue donors in our state registry before April 30, 2021. For each donor we register and each activity we implement to promote organ, eye, and tissue donation, we’ll earn points toward national recognition from HRSA.
We are asking all of our local community of supporters to help us educate the extended community on the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donation. If you are interested in becoming actively involved this effort, please share this page and encourage people to register as an organ donor and please take a few minutes today to add your name to our state’s donor registry. Someday you may save a life. Visit Maine’s donor registry at http://donatelifenewengland.org/register/ to find out how.
Here are just a few of the many positive things our patients have to say about their the care they received at Cary Medical Center.
