Board of Directors
The Jefferson Cary Foundation is managed by a volunteer board of directors. They provide the guidance, energy, and knowledge needed to sustain fund raising efforts and preserve the integrity of the fund. The board knows the medical needs of our community because all members live and work in Aroostook County.

Message from the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Jefferson Cary Foundation would like to thank those individuals and groups whose generosity has aided the Foundation in its fundraising efforts this past year. The Cary Classic Golf Tournament continues to be a major event each summer, and the revenue generated adds greatly to the Foundation’s ability to fund equipment, projects, and activities. Thoughtful community members continue to honor the memory of loved ones with contributions to memorial funds that benefit particular programs as chosen by the family. The JCF is proud to be able to manage these funds and acts as a liaison with the various hospital departments to distribute these funds for needed equipment and supplies.

The Jefferson Cary Foundation Endowment Fund met a milestone this year reaching the $500,000 mark.  The Annual Appeal Drive provides the bulk of the contributions to this fund although some contributions come as memorial donations.  The Endowment Fund remains untouched and will grow to $1,000,000 before any interest income is used to finance health care projects in the community.

In closing, the Board of Directors would like to thank the staff of Cary Medical Center for its continued hard work and dedication to health care, keeping Dr. Cary’s vision of a community hospital truly alive.
